WHAT KIND OF TALENTS ARE BOUTIQUE TALENTS?
Under the “talents” we consider individuals that possess multidimensional capabilities and are willing to invest them in working on challenges that your company faces in the process of reaching its goals.
“Boutique talents” are those who craft themselves as a perfect fit to the job AND the company at the personal [she loves solving these challenges!], social [she gets it!] and professional [I love his approach to solving the challenge!] levels. We call them “edge crafters” because they are proactive in capitalizing on “who they are,” “who they know,” and “what they know” for crafting their edge for your company and industry.
These Edge Crafters can be located inside of your company in any, often unexpected, departments (like in the “Good Will Hunting”!). The talents can also be externally located professionals [e.g., veterans or career changers], graduating students of master programs that need local experience, and the company they call “my new home.” The BE-EDGE Consult-a-thon and the set of BE-EDGE instruments will let you bring them on board while sharpening their skillset around YOUR company’s goals and priorities, as well as its culture and values.
